Callaway Golf has today unveiled its X Hot driver and irons. The irons feature distinctly different technologies that fuel distance and complete performance for both amateurs and professionals. “With the Callaway X Hot driver, we pushed Speed Frame Face’s efficiency to a new standard producing high ball speeds while maintaining trajectory and accuracy that discerning golfers demand,” said Callaway’s senior vice president of R&D Dr Alan Hocknell. “The fast face on X Hot is one piece of the puzzle, though. We went to great lengths to configure the X Hot drivers not only to promote distance but to progressively optimise performance for various player types.” The driver features Callaway’s thinnest ever casting technology in an all-titanium head, which creates a lighter swing weight and overall configuration. Another benefit of this technology is the inclusion of Draw Bias Progression – changes the amount of draw bias depending on the loft. For the first time, Callaway has also incorporated Speed Frame Face Technology from its drivers into the Callaway X Hot Irons to optimise stiffness across the face for more ball speed and consistent distance on off-centre hits. The deep undercut design allows Callaway to precisely position the centre of gravity and move the most compliant part of the face - the hottest part - lower, where most golfers make contact with the ball. “The X Hot irons have been meticulously engineered – both in terms of physical characteristics and club configuration – to increase ball speed and promote overall distance optimisation,” says Callaway's senior vice president of research & development Dr. Alan Hocknell.“And in doing so I think we have raised the bar and created the standard in distance for the irons category. Golfers will very much enjoy the results.” Rounding out the X Hot irons is the Feel Management Technology, a dual material medallion that fine tunes sound by promoting a crisp, dynamic feel at higher ball speeds. The stock shaft offering is a True Temper Speed Step 85 lightweight steel shaft. More Callaway golf clubs info in http://www.golfbargainonline.com/
