Ekya has announced the launch of their Yearly Years campus in Kanakapura. It is one of the largest pre-school campuses in India as well as Asia. The campus boasts of adequate space and facilities for an environment conducive to growth and development of the children. Some of the best architects had been appointed to bring out the essence of the campus. There are plans to take learning outside the classroom. Large classrooms provide space for children to read, learn and play with purpose. The campus piazza features a space where children can meet, greet and build on peer relationships. The expansive campus encourages children to build on their physical development skills. The school has come up with extended day schedule to allow children to experience the beautiful campus to its fullest potential. Their role is to stimulate the child’s learning while allowing the child to explore each level at his/her own pace, thus encouraging individuality and independence in the children. In the Kindergarten method of teaching, the role of a kindergarten teacher is to impart learning through instruction time, collaborative learning and the use of worksheets that facilitate significant concepts to the children. Children learn in larger groups and emphasis is laid on formal math, general science and language skills at this age level. Teachers monitor students’ learning with constant facilitation and feedback during the learning process. The activity calendar and the curriculum have been chalked out by a team of well-versed academicians.
