It is time to put together a plan. This is the point where a sitemap is developed, or the print design is made. The sitemap is a list of all main topic areas of the website, as well as sub-topics, if applicable. Or, if you are printing documents, you want to make a sitemap to do the same as a website. This serves as a guide as to what content will be on the website or document, and is essential to developing a consistent, easy to understand navigational system. The Development Phase In the development phase, communication between both Integrity Web Design and the client is crucial to ensure that the final printed material or website will match the client’s needs and taste. This phase is the developmental stage, the point where the printed material or website itself is created. At this time, Integrity Web Design will take all of the individual graphic elements from the prototype and use them in the printed material or website to create the actual, website or banner, brochure, business card, or any other printed thing the client wants. With the websites this is typically done by first developing the home page, followed by a “shell” for the interior pages. The shell serves as a template for the content pages of your site, as it contains the main navigational structure for the website. This entire time, Integrity Web Design continues to make the clients in-progress website available for the clients viewing. This is done so the client can suggest any additional changes or corrections they would like to have done. On the technical front, a successful website requires an understanding of front-end web development. This involves writing valid XHTML / CSS code that complies with current web standards, maximizing functionality, as well as accessibility for as large an audience as possible. Testing & Delivery Phase The testing and delivery phase will attend to the final details and test your website.
