The excitement continues with another big win on the PGA Tour for OBAN. The winner of the Tampa Bay Championship, played last week on the PGA Tour, used 2 OBAN Kiyoshi Purple shafts en route to a final round of 67 and won by 2 strokes. It was his first career win on the PGA Tour.
The Tampa Bay Championship winner relied on the Kiyoshi Purple 65 gram X flex in his discount Ping G20 driver and the Kiyoshi Purple 85 gram X flex in his Ping G25 fairway wood. The shafts are sold exclusively through authorized Oban custom club fitters or as custom upgrades with Adams, Callaway, Cobra, Ping, Nike, Taylormade and Titleist.
This year's special participating honoree is World Golf Hall of Famer Hollis Stacy, winner of 18 LPGA tour events including four major championships. LPGA co-founder Shirley Spork, Jane Crafter, Sherri Turner, Ellie Gibson, Tina Barrett, Shelley Hamlin and Sharon Miller are among the 31 LPGA pros participating in the pro-am. Also featured is 14-year-old golf sensation Alexis Monet Flores.
