The reason this is occurring is something called geotargeting and essentially means selecting what you can get based on your place. So for instance, the technology is utilized by the search engines to make sure you get results tailored to your geographical area. In this situation it's really really useful and helps direct your hunts into the right direction. In many situations though, geotargeting is actually harmful. Web sites will use it to charge different costs to different places. In the USA some DIY shops will look up your location, subsequently bill you based on how much you are from a challenger.
