A luxury kitchen is more or less exactly how it sounds. It’s a luxurious option in home design which will mean you’re able to perfectly represent your personality and how you choose to use your spaces within simple (or complex) kitchen styles. If you’re a keen chef then you’re likely to want as much workspace as possible, while also having room for your pots and pans, and a spacious oven (preferably with gas hobs). Every aspect of the room can be tailored to how you use the room, so make sure you’re completely open about how much you cook and whether you tend to read in your kitchen more often than you sauté potatoes. |
Lots of people find their existing kitchen isn’t quite up to standards, but if you don’t pay enough attention to what it is you don’t like about it you’ll find that luxury kitchens won’t be the answer you’re looking for, and the same problems will keep cropping up.
1) Never having enough plugs
I don’t know about you, but I find no room I ever go into ever has quite enough electrical sockets for my clearly very demanding and techy lifestyle. I have to move the microwave to plug in the blender, and unplug the toaster if I want the kettle on for a cup of tea. While most people could do with more outlets, they’re not the most attractive of objects. The luxury kitchens solution is to incorporate pop up sockets wherever you think you might need them. Scattered around the edge of your work surface or nestled in the centre of your island and you will find that wherever you need power and whatever you’re doing you’ll have something (but without ruining your lovely design).
2) Finishing touches which suit you
The lovely thing about a bespoke kitchen design is that there’s no need or pretence of a ‘one size fits all’ kitchen. To be completely honest, we’re quite sure there isn’t a one size fits all anything out there which actually does what it says. As a result, make sure your designer is in sync with what you need, and not what they want to do. If you’re paying for luxury kitchens then you’re going to want to guarantee that you’re happy with them and they’re working hard for you.
3) Getting the cupboards right
Usually people will just stick cupboards in as most of their under counter storage, but actually it’s not a terrible practical option, so it’s one luxury kitchens can solve. Drawers are a much easier way of finding everything, and individual fittings make sure that everything has its own home.
