Remember the scene where they zip through the hospital on a bike? Am sure you are part of a gang that breaks all barriers to help each other out. Accepted An amazing movie that will have you gaping in awe about what a student who fails to get admitted into any college across US is capable of. He actually decides to create a fake university and ropes in others who are in the same position as he is. The Social Network Who hasn’t heard of this movie, right? It’s about Mark Zuckerberg, his college life, and how he created Facebook and its progression through his college years. There is drama; there is romance, there is technology, and plenty of thinking outside the box. You will find yourself drawn to the main character, his focus in life and ability to cut off all the other factors. Rudy Based on a true story, Rudy is about Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger, who despite being unable to afford college joins the football practice squad and finds his place in the team proving anything is possible. Quite the inspiring movie, who knows you might end up taking up a sport following in Rudy’s footsteps. 21 A fascinating tale of a bunch of kids from MIT who are roped in by a professor and whisked away for an evening of fun in Las Vegas. The movie is about how friendships develop, the turmoil students go through and what matters at the end. A key take away from this movie – “The knowledge of math is more than just working out problems.” Jaane Tu Yaa Jaane Na Another cult college movie that comes to our mind when we say talk about college is Jaane Tu Yaa Jaane Na starring Imran Khan and Genelia. The lovely ‘Kabhi Kabhi Aditi’ song shot at St. Xavier's College in Mumbai, best friends falling in love and relationships between a group of friends is what this movie which became a cult is all about. Imran Khan and Genelia had us tearing our hair out, screaming and laughing through the flick. Wake up Sid What a brilliant movie! And oh so real. Many of us have gone through what “Sid” played by Ranbir Kapoor did at one point - the lazy attitude, the pressures of matching up to his parents’ expectations, how his life changes with one incident, and how he didn’t give up his passion in life to stick to what his parents had planned for him despite initial failure. Brings back memories of days when your parents pushed you to your limits? And for those who are curious about south Indian movies, Happy days [Telugu] A college story about eight friends and four years of engineering. Each one has a set of beliefs and eccentricities. How they all connect, become close, support each other and learn the lessons of life is what this movie is about. It is something that all of us can relate to. So similar to your college life, and the friends you made over the years, and the plans you continue to make far into the future. Mouna ragam [Tamil] Two college students, one traditional family, a girl who wants to break the rules and a guy who ultimately gets the girl is the plot. It one awesome movie filled with ups and downs, serious scenes, hilarious dialogues, and not to forget some beautiful tracks as well. An ideal movie for every college going girl will have dreamt of breaking a few rules and being the family rebel.
