Success through achievement – will be the aim of our lives! Every single individual you know including yourself needs success. They all want the very best out of life and none of them get pleasure from mediocrity. It's a fundamental desire of the human to want to feel that they have value; they make a difference, and are appreciated or believed in by other individuals. Some of the best wisdom regarding the path to success is found in the biblical verses stating that faith can move mountains. You have to believe, sincerely and completely believe in the things you cannot yet see, after which you'll do them. Not many people really believe that they can move the mountains in their lives. And so those mountains most often never get moved. They continue to be there in the way, blocking them and keeping them from that success which they desire for on the other side of the mountain. Nevertheless, I listen to you say, “It’s impossible to make any mountain move by just stating ‘Mountain, Move!’ That’s just not possible”. But be cautious that you are not confusing wishful thinking with genuine belief. It is not a magic phrase that you ought to phrase just right or say loud enough or often enough. Wishful thinking won’t cut it. You can’t wish yourself into a penthouse resort room, or maybe a Ferrari or possibly a five bed room home or high income bracket. You can’t wish yourself into a leadership position. But the great news is that there's nothing at all magical or mystical about belief in what could be done and having faith that you'll do it. Belief basically works this manner. Belief, or “I absolutely can” attitude and approach generates in you the strength, ability and energy that you're going to require. I mean think about it, if there is really a basic task that you've done numerous instances before, let’s say parallel parking a automobile in a space that you are familiar with, even if today you fail at first otherwise you find yourself in positions you didn’t expect. You wouldn’t give up, would you? Why? because you know you can do it. You think you'll be able to do it, and even when you haven’t done it again yet, you'll be able to see in your mind’s eye how it is eventually going to be. The “How” always comes to those that want it bad enough and actually believes he can do it. You are going to persist and it will be done. Don’t you find it curious that numerous successful individuals had every option to quit or give up or modify the objective to anything a lot more achievable, but they didn’t. They stuck to what they believed they could do. So many people I have spoken to have told me of the time when they seriously considered starting their own business. They had a fantastic concept which they actually believed in and so they shared the plan with those people close to them, probably in the hope of some encouragement, but all they got was the opposite. Even from individuals who actually loved them they had been told all of the reasons why it will not work and how they knew of those who tried the same thing and it failed. “Don’t be a fool! You don’t have what it will take”, “You’ve missed the boat”, “It can’t be done”, “Don’t throw all of it away”, “You’ll regret it and wind up worse off”! All their worst fears were reinforced in their minds and as a result they never took that step of courage. And yet I can assure you, even from personal experience, that there were not a lot of business enterprise owners that weren’t scared stiff on the 1st day – loads of doubts flashing through their minds if the phones weren’t ringing on day one. “Is this going to work?”, “Have I got what it takes?”, “Did I think it all over correctly?”, “Is it me?” Belief, strong belief, sincere belief triggers our minds into figuring out the ‘how to’ and the means. And when you stick to it, it is really amazing how many times successful people look back and wonder how on earth they did that! They pretty much seem amazed at themselves and their achievements. We constantly say during our Firewalking activities, “It’s not Can or Can’t, Its Will or won’t .... But sometimes we don’t know how.” Nevertheless, when the ‘why’ is strong enough individuals will find the ‘how’. So that’s what it really is all about. Convincing your-self that there isn't a other option, no plan B, no acceptance of failure. WE ARE CAPABLE OF MORE THAN WE THINK WE ARE. So many of us have people who we look up to within our lives because of what they've achieved. That form of inspiration can work wonders for our own personal achievements in addition. Looking to an industry leader or even a champion of some sort aids us with our belief because we can see for ourselves that it most definitely is possible. We would do well to respect the leader in our field of choice. We should learn from them. Observe them intensely. Analyze them. But don’t worship them. Feel you can surpass them. You could possibly do more, but you might also have to take careful note of the price you’ll need to pay, the dedication you will have to commit to. I had a horse riding instructor in my youth when training me for show jumping always used to say “You throw your heart over the jump, then you go and fetch it”. The only issue was that often the horse didn’t throw his heart over! Regardless, true to instruction I made it over the jump albeit sometimes without the horse! Bear in mind, A person is merely a reflection of his thoughts. Believe Big and grow big. Many people lack initiative simply because deep down within they don’t believe that they are worth much. They don’t think that they've what it will take. But no-one else is going to believe in you unless you'll believe in your self. Beware having said that, I feel it necessary to put a provison in here, never mistake believing in your self with arrogance! There is too much arrogance around in this day and age and it really is an entirely different thing. Arrogance is an offensive display of superiority or self importance. This is a demonstration of overbearing pride in oneself, and that i believe you will agree that none of these things could possibly be regarded as good. It is possible to still believe in yourself whilst maintaining a humble approach. You can believe in your self whilst still appreciating other individuals and having a loving nature. But arrogance is bombastic and destructive. I’m sorry to say that many individuals today pull on the mask of arrogance which is in fact meant to cover their true lack of self-confidence. Many of the arrogant individuals I meet up with are without a doubt actually wanting to elevate themselves as superior above other individuals. They're going to figure out with time that pride comes before a fall. Everybody's mind is actually a “thought factory”, producing endless thoughts everyday. It will not rests, it never goes off duty (except possibly whenever you throw your brain at a Television set), even when your sleeping scientists have proved that your mind remains just as active. What we need to choose is whether to manufacture positive thoughts or negative thoughts. I say, specialise in developing reasons why you can do something.
