I was shocked when I first heard this, but the more I think about it the more it makes sense. This is why you don't want to give your family reverse osmosis filtered water regardless of whether its from a home water purifier or overly filtered bottled water. Additionally reverse osmosis filters can also begin to degrade in short order if your water supply contains chlorine, which most public water supplies do. Therefore a comprehensive multi stage filter is a must have to remove these harmful disease causing contaminants and the chemicals that your local water treatment facility misses,while still maintaining the mineral balance that nature intended. Once you realize this you will find that there are few home water purifiers that truly make the grade.
