Things You Need To Know about Crohn's Disease

Health
Facts and myths are a part and parcel of any event, invention, theory or hypothesis. Different people have different perspectives and eventually everything’s divided into two; two people or two groups, standing by their beliefs and waiting for their version of truth to be accepted. Nonetheless, the only outcome both groups desire to find is that ultimate truth which defines everything with logic and rationality, for greater good of mankind.

But this is how it must be in an ideal world, not in reality. Unknown forces try to suppress facts and project myths as truth and unfortunately succeed many a times. People are turned into sheeple and over time myths become facts and facts are turned into absurdity. And the situation couldn’t be any different from this when it comes to inflammatory bowel conditions like Crohn’s disease (which isn’t a disease after all).

Almost whole of the doctor-patient community in today’s world believes inflammatory bowel conditions like Colitis, Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s are a dreadful set of diseases which don’t have a permanent solution. What’s more shocking is that doctors and medical experts though not sure about what causes these conditions, recommend medication and surgeries nonetheless. The reason to this sort of uncertainty and confusion about Crohn’s and related conditions can only be suppressed truth and this article tries to clear some air and bring some perspective to the situation.

The first and foremost thing that needs to be cleared right away is that Crohn’s is not at all a disease and moreover it is no different from Colitis or Ulcerative Colitis. It hails the same origin as the rest, requires the same kind of treatment and has the same kind of symptoms, except that these symptoms are more severe than that of others. [In fact, the only way to confirm whether you have Crohn’s is by understanding the meaning of the classic crohn's symptoms such as blood and mucus in your stool. Crohn’s is certainly curable and surgery is totally not needed unless you have waited too long and let your bowel condition deteriorate to its worst. Before we dig deeper into its cure, it’s important we know the facts about its cause and know the real reason behind Crohn’s disease or any other inflammatory bowel condition for that matter. As told before, Crohn’s is not a disease but a manmade condition that’s evolved to become a dreadful inflammatory bowel condition over half a century. Exposure to synthetic antibiotics that is present in our food and water, in toothpaste and soaps, and most importantly in prescribed medication is the reason behind every inflammatory bowel condition. Synthetic antibiotics kill all the good bacteria that protect our stomach and intestinal walls and leave them vulnerable to the attacks of strong digestive acids, which leave the walls damaged and corroded. The severity of these damages increase over time if not attended to leading to different stages of bowel conditions, the final and the most dreadful being Crohn’s. Blood and mucus in the stool, urgent and persistent diarrhea, heartburn, arthritic and joint pains are few of the symptoms.

Since the very reason behind Crohn’s is a manmade drug, trying to treat it with more drugs and medication only worsens the situation. The approach doctors and patients must look out for is pretty basic and natural. Holistic Gastroenterology is a holistic approach towards inflammatory bowel conditions that aims to rejuvenate the bacterial culture and rehabilitate the damaged intestinal wall by the use of specific and sophisticated nutritional supplements-'natural medicine' and not diet. Food does not cause crohn's disease or any other inflammatory bowel condition and cannot cure it. These supplements are totally natural and organic and consist of those nutritional components that our intestinal walls are essentially made of, to promote their growth. The only dietary limitation would be a low-fiber diet, with no raw fruits and raw vegetables and no nuts, as these are too rough to pass through the damaged walls, thus causing more erosion and damage.

Dr. Alberto Snow is a Naturopathic doctor specializing in Holistic Gastroenterology treatments for inflammatory bowel issues such as diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), colitis, ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease ( http://www.dralbertosnow.com/crohns ).
