How to Install Interior LED Lights Interior LED lights are a simple way of personalising your desktop PC case to give it an internal glow. They can be placed anywhere in the case where they do not interfere with other components. Before you start, be sure that there are enough four-pin molex connectors free on your PC power supply to connect the LED lights to, and that your case is big enough to house the lighting equipment. Use a case with a clear section on the side panel for the best visual result. Instructions 1 Turn off your PC and unplug all exterior cables including any peripherals (for example; mouse, speakers, keyboard) that are attatched. Lay the case down on a flat surface to work on. 2 Remove the side panel from your computer case. Undo the two screws on the back of your PC that hold the panel in place or operate the lock mechanism, depending on how your case opens. Consult the documentation supplied with your PC case for more information. Measure the dimensions of the lights and power adapter unit and work out where to place them in your case. Ensure that the cables from the lights can reach the power adaptor, and that the power adaptor's cable can can reach a four-pin molex connection from your computer's power supply unit. 4 Apply double-sided Velcro tape to the LED light equipment and the corresponding installation locations in your computer case. 5 Place the LED light equipment onto the Velcro strips in your case. 6 Connect the LED lights to the power adapter. Connect the power adaptor's four-pin molex connector to a four-pin molex connection on your power supply unit. 7 Install the switch for your LED lights if your set has one. Switches vary between lights, so consult the documentation supplied with your set for additional information. If there is no dedicated light switch, the lights will turn on and off as the computer does. 8 Reattach the case panel and reconnect all cables to your PC. Turn the power on to check that the lights work.
