The Spanish language, one of the most beautiful and one of the most commonly spoken languages in the world is also one of the easiest languages to learn. |
Spanish is the official language of nineteen countries in Latin America, and over 20 million people speak Spanish in the Unites States. Due to several mass emigrations and the ease of learning the language, it is a very extensively spoken language. As opposed to other languages that have many grammar rules; the Spanish language is totally different. There are fewer grammar and pronunciation rule, except for some particular words.
Whether you are in Spain or other farthest Spanish-speaking countries such as México, Colombia or Guatemala, the accents and idiomatic expressions are not an obstacle, and the writing is identical. Spanish language learning can easily be accommodated to your learning or understanding capacity.
However, the Spanish language has some particularities that make it easier to speak and read. For example, the personal pronouns (I, you, and they) are usually omitted. But if we are giving prominence to a name, we would use it in all phrases.
1) a) Soy mexicano= I am Mexican b) yo soy mexicano= I am a Mexican
2) The possessive pronouns mi (my) and tu (yours) are used for both feminine and masculine.
Mi casa =…my house (feminine) Mi libro=…my book (masculine) Su boligrafo=….your pen (masculine) Su camisa=…your shirt (feminine)
Without having to apply different grammar rules for each word, these rules make it easier for the language to be spoken. The Spanish language system, due to a substantial number of reforms, is almost perfect, contrast to the majority of languages, it is pronounced phonetically and the writing corresponds to the reading. However, we need to be aware of some pronunciations in Spanish, like the trilled (r), which is somewhat complex to reproduce, and the let /b/ or /v/, which is almost the same and the letter /h/ is silent.
For example: a) Correr=….To run The letter (rr) need to be pronounce carefully by working hard with the tongue in order to be understood by a native speaker.
b) Vamos para la casa =…. Let’s go home
The letter (v) is pronounced like b.
There are some small differences that are not actually an obstacle, but we still have to be aware of these differences. We are talking about the verb (to be) which in Spanish has 2 forms of writing, (Ser) and (Estar), and 2 different meanings.
Ser=………to be Estar=…..to be
Ser….Is a permanent state.
For example: a)Yo soy un Medico=…..I am a doctor b)El es in Ingeniero=……He is a engineer
Estar… is to indicate transition.
For example: a) Estoy en la casa=… I am at home b) Ella esta aqui=……She is here
Those types of changes occur less in Spanish words than in other languages. They are not difficult to learn, and the writing is easy and also easier to pronounce. Like other languages, the Spanish language has its own grammar rules .But the fewer numbers of rules in Spanish makes the idiom much easier to learn.
The only thing that is needed is a good method of learning, good motivation and willingness to learn.
