Guinea pigs are not from guinea as the name suggests but they are normally used as pets at home. They can also be found living in the wild and they fend for themselves and mostly hide as the other animals consider them a source of food. Nature of the Guinea Pigs
They originally look like pigs and they even make the same sound. They like eating the same way pigs do and they look alike physically. They come in white, brown And black colors and they mostly live around four to six years. They live in cages and mostly like feeding on vegetables or grass. If they are domesticated, most people build cages for them with wire mesh around them. They are very dirty and messy as they like throwing around their food and they urinate all over the floor. Another thing they like doing hat is so disgusting is that after cleaning their rooms, they urinate again and roll over their urine dragging their bodies as this is a sign that they have marked their territories.
The guinea pigs are often seen as prey by other animals and that is why they tend to run for cover most of the time. They are mixed well with rats as they cannot harm each other and they get along so well. They are poor climbers and do not know how to get to the top as they get stuck and remain stagnant. They are good swimmers though as they do very well in water. They like moving as groups and they communicate really well. The females get pregnant which lasts for about 70 days and they give birth to around 3 or 4 pups. They become mature between four to five weeks and at this point the females can now get pregnant. They do not have a special diet as grass can do and they mix it with their feces.
Bio A turtle and tortoise may look alike but they are very different. The turtle lives in water while the tortoise lives on dry land.
