Operators feed emulsifier to the plant at regular intervals. There is a valve-controlled mechanism to make sure that there is no mismatch between the feed and rotation of the plant. What is bitumen emulsion? It is a thick, viscous mixture of two liquids that get dispersed with each other in the form of very fine particles. The process of emulsification uses emulsifier and stabilizer. The mixture is prepared with the help of the colloid mill. The bitumen emulsion is classified into two types: · Cationic solution where particles are positively charged. · Anionic solution where particles are negatively charged.
