I recently discovered a new brand of shoes called Dursen. Apparently they’ve been around the rest of the world for a while but they’re pretty new to the US. |
I have to say that the whole shopping experience was really easy. They have four collections and, after explaining what I needed, they pointed out the collection for me. I told them I needed something for everyday wear and professional for work. The salesperson said the Signature collection was for me.
It’s a collection of shoes with classic styles that will work for everyone. I quickly found what just looked like a nice shoe to me. I’m no fashionista by any means so I just see a nice shoe and I take it.
Apparently there’s a lot more to the shoe that I was completely blind to. I was told that I selected The Zander, which is a lighter brown, double monk strap shoe with gold buckles. They’re made with full grain leather outside which is imported directly from Italy. The inside of the shoe is made of black genuine calfskin leather and I’m told that’s what makes it comfortable for walking around all day. I don’t have to do a ton of walking but knowing my cool new shoes will also be comfortable makes the purchase easier.
It also has a Blake stitched sole, and I’m told that’s a good thing. “It’s the shoe for a true gentleman” supposedly, but they sold me on the quality and comfort with a great price! They also explained all the outfits I can pair the shoes with and that was really helpful.
I like that can wear them outside the office when I go out. I thought I could only wear them with certain clothes and colors but they’re a way more versatile. My immediate thought was “for only $108 they’re pretty much the only shoes I need”. Then I saw a few more shoes I definitely need.
They have a winter boot collection called Frosty. Living in Chicago, a good snow boot is one of the most important shoes in my closet. Typically my boots do not go with my work suits so I have to change my shoes at the office. These Frosty collection boots are really nice looking shoes, but they’re also waterproof and lined with fur.
I don’t have to carry multiple shoes anymore! That’s a pretty big deal to me because I lean on the more practical side. I must say that Dursen shoes found a long time customer in me. They have quite a few options that perfectly fit my needs.
