Africa is rich in a variety of natural resources. The country contains reserves of gold, iron ore, platinum, copper, silver and titanium in plenty. The sectors they excel in are manufacturing, food processing and the production of textiles. Extensive practice of agriculture and fisheries provide active involvement in meat, fish, fruit canning, sugar refining, and other processing works. More than half of these products are exported worldwide.

African countries has always been widely held for a well-developed food and beverage industry. This is mainly because of two things, the agricultural activities in the country and their relatively sophisticated food supplies. The most common consumer-oriented products, forestry products and transitional products of Africa are made available for trading in different other countries. Importation of different food preparations like condiments, sauces, cereals, spices and seasonings has grown steadily over time.
African products like vibrant traditional clothing, assorted soaps and large variety of raw and processed foodstuffs are extremely popular all over the world. So this increased popularity that grew, demands in foreign markets not only provoked import, but also roused interest among people to open specialized shops.

Therefore an African innate sitting at far distance from home and missing the taste plus smell of African delicacies or someone who just want to try out some African goods, can splurge through options available online or the best African store nearby. There are many well-known African products highly longed for worldwide, some are like,

Traditional Print Dashikis: These are loose fitted, colorful, printed garments having a V-shaped ornate collar with embroidered neckline and sleeves. They are widely worn in a variety of styles in many different places other than Africa.

Handmade Black Soaps: Usually produced in West Africa, these soaps are handmade specially known for being mild to the skin and relieving skin ailments. It’s been used for centuries now as a multipurpose soap having good values for health.

Mud cloth: These are special kinds of Malian cotton fabric traditionally hand-dyed with fermented mud. Every piece of such cloth is dyed in different colors, symbols, patterns, and shape which bear their own individual significance and story. These fabrics are exported worldwide for fashion, fine art and decorative purposes.

Food products and agricultural goods: Africa is not only independent in many major agricultural products, but it is also a renowned net food exporter. Some of the most widely exported and globally consumed products are like corn, fruits, sugar, wool, olive oils, and frozen fish.

Beside the establishment of a large number of African restaurants and eateries there are many African departmental stores popping up frequently in the UK, US and German markets. Overall, the African trade has been facilitated massively by other countries who have not only hosted such eateries and stores but been regular trade partners as well.

Leon Grant has performed a series of interviews with the owners of many non-Australian online and departmental stores and found that African goods are widely popular. He also established that the products available in the online African store called Flora African Shop in Australia are in great demand.
