If you are using a borrowed or rented minibus hire to pull your horse trailer it's important to check that you have the correct size ball on the towing minibus for the particular trailer's hitch. Also, make sure you check the tire pressure for optimal minibus towing torque. Be sure that your hitch has been cranked up high enough that your trailer ball will line up. You'll want to back up into your trailer's minibus hitch system. This would be a lot easier to do if you have a knowledgeable person to help you back up. When the trailer is hooked up, you'll want to jack up as high as you can to install the leveler bars on the hitch end. Once you've set your keeper clips and cranked the jack stand off the ground as for as it will go, you'll want to inspect and hook up you safety minibus chains, if you have them. A few safety tips: try walking inside the trailer to check for hornet's nests and such, just for the safety and comfort of the horses you're planning on towing. The emergency quick releases work best if you can get to them. If a horse pulls back or falls and you have to get to the snap, you will want them to be located in a place that you can safely reach. You'll want to plug in your lights to the minibus after that and check to see that they all work including the Marker/running lights, turn signals, and brake lights. Get rid of the blocks that your trailers that were resting on it before you hooked up to it, and place them somewhere safe.
