Use techniques like this that is measurable such as writing blog topics that appeal to those who may need a lawyer. Another way to gain business is through referral sources. Many law professionals get work from referrals and that’s great, but it’s important to understand it doesn’t happen on its own. Start with the clients you’re currently working with and remind them to refer you to anyone who may need legal representation. Next, tell them the type of work you’re seeking. Approach your law school classmates and offer an exchange of referrals sending work they specialize in to them and vice versa.
