I was at the gym, and lifting some light weights, acutally it was75 pounds total that I was lifting, and a gentleman lifting nearby commeneted and said to me, " light weights". The ensuring conversation was fine, but he subseqently said, " take it as motivation.Since this little exhange, I have been looking at some of the setups for a look see at what I can lift that looks or sounds a bit better that the full scale light wieghts range. I have been keeping an eye out. My latest discovery was on the universal that I could go about 140 on the pulldowns for now, and I found two machines where I can set the pin to 200 pounds and do some reps including ten on one of these machines. This journey of self discovery reached a moment of ecstasy with this, as this is nearly a 100 pounds more that I had been lifting as I was usally capping out at 100 pounds. This jump start has been quick, he was right, I could easily do more on some of these machines. His initially analysis of what i was doing however was slightly wrong, in that the 75 pounds I was lifting I was doing for 2 songs or 10 minutes of so without stopping and you can't do that with say more than that. I would say I am still in the range of light weights, but now I could feel better if I tell someone I am lifting in the upper 100's or 200 pounds and I am still keeping an eye out on what I can upgrade to in terms of amounts. he moral of the story, is with this prodding or encouragement, I can continue to keep the eye out, it is like being invited on a trip with potentially wondrous sights, it can an open window to keep an eye out. The invitation to change is something that opens more than one option in the venture. Say someone is encouraged to sing, and finds they like it, like hearing themselves and others seem to think so as well. This would not only go to one song, one tune but many and maybe varied songs, that this newly discovered previously unexplored talent can bring to the fore and the lookout, keeping the yee out, can ultimately extend to many songs and many and varied singing opportunities including recordings. So when that change, bigger or smaller like my current experience with the weights, keep that eye out, keep going and extend that vision a bit fruther and a bit more down the road of what is now possible.
