There are some really wonderful things that your child can learn from a Tustin preschool setting that can't be learned in other settings. If you have a child of preschool age and have been on the fence about whether or not this is something you want to invest in, then it can be helpful to know some of the important benefits that can come from this kind of experience. The following is a list of just some of the major things your child can gain by enrolling in a class of this nature: - Better social skills: This is true for all children who go to a Tustin preschool, but it is especially true for children without siblings to play with. Children have to be around other children in order to learn how to interact with them. If your child mostly interacts with you and other adults, then this is a skill they will need to learn in order to be successful in school.
- Less separation anxiety: The last thing you want is to drop your child off for the first day of Kindergarten to see them crying and panicked. Enrolling your child in a good preschool can offer some excellent practice at being away from you, and trusting that you will come back.
- Longer attention span: It takes some practice for children to be able to sit still and listen to a lesson. While most schools for young children have lots of play and active time, there will be moments where instructions are given and lessons are taught. These moments will help your child expand their attention span and learn to be still and attentive for longer periods of time than they are used to.
- Better learning foundation: The more your child knows before heading to school, the better off they will be. Schools of this nature will provide a good foundation of the alphabet, numbers, shapes, colors, seasons, and other basic facts. With these out of the way, the Kindergarten teacher will be able to expand to higher levels of learning at a faster pace, which is better for everyone involved.
- Fun experiences: Your child will have fun. If nothing else, you will be giving your child the gift of a guaranteed fun time a few times a week. Adding this to your regular routine can create a lot of positivity for your entire family.
- Exposure to arts: This will be a very good place for your child to explore the way colors work. By practicing arts and crafts that force the motor skills to perform better, your child will be exposed to a lot of different artistic stimulation.
- Introduction to music: Music is another staple of any quality preschool. Having music as a regular part of the lessons will help your child remember the concepts, and can aid in the mental and emotional development of your child.
- Greater encouragement: The more people your child has cheering them on, the more confident and motivated they will be to keep trying and building skills. By enrolling your child in a good school, you will be expanding the pool of people that are cheering them on and guiding their interests and efforts.
Preparing your child for the school experience is an important part of your responsibilities as a parent. Sending your child to a good Tustin preschool is one very good way for you to fulfill this responsibility in a positive and exciting way for your child. It can be hard to send them away for a couple hours at a time, but when you see the many benefits that you can gain in return, you will see why it is such an important step in the educational process.
