If you’re considering proposing to the girl of your dreams, you have an idea of how she feels about you already. Nowadays, most men know what the answer is going to be before they’ve even considered asking the question. You probably have close to a 98% chance of her saying yes. That doesn’t trump the fact that it’s still a special occasion. Hopefully, it’s the last time you’ll ever have to ask someone to marry you. Why not make it a night to remember? A great marriage proposal begins months in advance. Getting the right ring takes a lot of shopping and a lot of communication. Talk with her about it. If you’re fairly certain of the answer, that means you’ve already discussed marriage and your future plans. Coax her into describing her perfect wedding band. Does she want lots of diamonds? Some women don’t. She’ll tell you the cut, the color, and a million other things that you won’t understand. Do your research. Then, write it all down, and keep it with you. You don’t want her to stumble across your ring notes. Once you get the ring, make the reservations. These could just be dinner reservations, or they could be a hair appointment followed by dinner reservations. Make sure she feels wonderful for the night she won’t know is coming, but give her a hint that you want to go out. She has to know it’s kind of special; this gives her the opportunity to dress up for the occasion. Then, find a limo service in Newark, but have them pick you up after dinner. Take a cab there to throw her off the scent. After you sit down and have dinner, the moment has arrived. Do this any way you want.
