Do you recall the feeling we have when our body incurs a health problem that seems out of our control? Feeling out of control is like being in a hurricane that you can’t stop. Everything is swirling around you and there is nothing you can do about it. These emotions are not fun and can make you feel in jeopardy of things getting worse, not better. Many women suffer physically and emotionally with the symptoms of PCOS.
But, you don’t have to suffer forever. There is something you can do. You are generally healthy and you have the courage down deep inside to help you become victorious and be in control again. Being in control enables you to move forward with other things and not even worry about your condition anymore. As long as you can develop healthy habits and focus on taking care of yourself, you are well on your way to triumph and achieve your goals.
My friend was surprised that I was diagnosed with PCOS years ago. She protested,”But, you haven’t had a weight issue.” I replied,”Why do you think I run and have to focus on eating right all of the time?” I have learned how to be in control of it. I have had many ups and downs. The roller coaster of weight loss and gain is still a weekly struggle for me. But, generally I am slim and trim.
Easy Ways Of Reducing Weight With PCOS
*Reduce Stress. Sounds easier said than done, but I have a wonderful anecdote that fell into my lap. I use essential oils to help me feel calm and relax. They also give energy and focus. They are a powerful and amazing tool to managing stress levels. This is the first item you should tackle as stress has been known to help fat cells grow. Once your body and mind are balanced, your body will be able to get into shape easier. Another stress reducer is exercise. This is a must for burning fat cells.
*Write it down. Write or type up a weekly and monthly menu for you to follow. When you map out what you are going to eat before you are hungry, you are more likely to eat healthy food. The planned menu is also a useful tool for your grocery list. Only buy what is on the list.
*Eliminate. Throw out all junk food, soda and sugary beverages, treats, goodies and desserts. Clean up your pantry and refrigerator to be stocked with nutritious alternatives.
