You are not alone in thinking that your office could use some livening up. In fact, your employees probably agree with you. Lately, you have noticed that they seem more tired and less productive, making your job as their administrator difficult and frustrating. You want the environment that you create at work to be one that uplifts and inspires, rather than one that just forces people to stare at a clock for 8 to 9 hours a day. You have racked your brain but just cannot seem to figure out a solution that will make work better for both them and you. Worry no more, because here are 3 ways to liven up your work space today! Erase Window Worries If employees are going to daydream while staring out windows all day, at least make sure that those windows they are staring out of are top of the line in both style and quality. Consider installing commercial window film in LA. This sort of window treatment helps to break down the harsh power of glare, evenly distribute heat, and even helps you save money. This new technology helps make the building and your employees more efficient because of the distribution of the sun's rays. Instead of creating harsh glare on computer screens, these windows filter out any overbearing rays. This also keeps your air conditioning bill low thanks to the rays being blocked, cutting out any excess afternoon heat. Another added perk is that these windows allow for you and your employees to see out, but no one to see in. So whether you are working on a confidential project or taking your daily nap, you and your employees are treated to absolute privacy. Lower the Walls One of the easiest ways to ensure that your employees feel motivated and inspired at work is to let them talk openly and freely with one another at any time. Since you do not want them all to constantly be standing and hovering in the break room, consider investing in cubicles with walls short enough for everyone to see over while sitting down. This allows for employees to still have their personal space while also being able to communicate at the drop of a pen. High walls close people off from one another and make extra work for when someone has an idea he or she wants feedback on. Consider switching to lower walls and watch the productivity speed up quickly. Mindful Music Sometimes the constant interruption of the shredder or the printer being mis-fed with paper can slow employees down at work. Consider making a playlist of positive and upbeat songs to act as white noise in the office. This music will help to make a more positive environment for the employees while at the same time helping to keep them focused on the task at hand. It may seem counterproductive to play music to make people focus, but many people actually concentrate better when there is background noise instead of silence. You could even ask for suggestions and make sure that everyone's favorite song is included on the playlist so that each employee has his or her say. Give it a week’s trial, sit back, and watch efficiency soar. You want to be the best boss that you possibly can be, and creating a great work environment is part of that. Start livening up your work space today by installing commerical window film in LA, lowering the walls of the employee cubicles, and playing positive music softly in the background. Invest in your employees in these ways, and they are sure to give back to you tenfold.
