Whether you're moving for a semester abroad, a new job opportunity, or simply for a new adventure, making the move to another country can be both exciting and stressful. You are taking a lot of items with you, and the odds of something being lost or damaged when sending them to another country are much higher than shipping them within the country. Know What Not to Take Every country has its own laws regarding what items they do and do not accept within their borders. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the laws of the country you are going to so that you don't try to ship any items that will be stopped at customs. That's a big mess you don't want to deal with.
