You know that exasperating feeling when you are doing everything you can to accomplish your goal, but getting nowhere? Perhaps you feel like a failure when you are trying everything you can to lose weight, but not seeing results. It seems like your body is against you and mocks every effort you make. That is just not fair. Maybe you are frightened that you will never succeed and instead be stuck in your current state.
Looking for ways to change your current situation is the first great step you can take. The next step is to try something new and different. Sometimes when we keep doing the same things over and over, nothing will change. Changing it up can make a world of difference. After you take the step of changing things, the next step is to continue on one step at a time. Think of weight loss as a series of steps. This helps to break things down into little tasks so that you won’t feel overwhelmed.
I have been in this same pitfall of dieting, exercising, and not losing weight. I am a runner and was logging 25 to 30 miles a week, eating healthy foods, but staying the same weight with a belly pooch. It was so frustrating. After struggling for years with this, I realized I had to change things and do some things differently. As soon as I made some changes, I started to see results. I wanted a lifestyle change, not just a fad diet. I am happy to say that I have been able to maintain my shape.
3 Things To Avoid When You Are Dieting, Exercising, And Not Losing Weight
1- Avoid dieting. You should be able to eat as much as you want of fruits, veggies, and lean proteins. Instead of depriving yourself, eat plenty of these healthy foods. This will help you to get on track and stay on track.
2-Avoid sugar. Stay away from treats, goodies, desserts, and sugary beverages. They are the most favorite food for fat cell growth.
3-Avoid starches. Plan a few days a week to add grains to your meals. Whole grains are good for you and nutritious, but they can be eaten in small amounts. The rest of the week, avoid adding starchy food to your meals.
