Houston, TX – The Voices of Lee from Lee University in Cleveland, TN have captivated audiences worldwide with their unique variety of lush vocal harmonies. Praise Chapel Houston is honored to present this fifteen-member group directed by Danny Murray at the 8:30 and 10:30 worship services June 5th. Over twenty years of touring, they have performed in Europe with concerts at the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris and England’s Ely Cathedral; in 2014 the Voices of Lee were invited by the Chinese Government to perform in the Shanghai International Music Festival. They have also been featured performers for Christmas at the White House in Washington DC. Their convention appearances have taken them from Israel to Ontario and numerous U.S. cities. They were propelled into the international spotlight on the debut season of NBC’s Sing-Off, a competition of a cappella groups. Out of thousands of auditions, Voices of Lee was selected as one of only eight groups to compete and finished as second runner up. They were also voted one of the favorite groups by the Contemporary A Cappella Society of America. At Praise Chapel, we work hard to be a church of relationships rather than rules, building bridges and tearing down barricades. We celebrate all nationalities, ages and people at Praise Chapel.
