5 Tips to help beginner yogis become master yogis faster

Health
The worldwide community of yogis grows by several thousands of novice yogis every day. This makes sense because who doesn’t want to be healthier, better looking, calmer, more vital and more focused – all things, Yoga’s been known to help one achieve. When it comes to being a ‘master yogi’ however, it’s a lot like learning a new instrument or sport - the longer you practice and the less mistakes you make, the faster you’ll get there. Given below are some very potent tips for beginner yogis.

Don’t eat before yoga Yoga is to be performed on an empty stomach because yoga poses takes up energy, leaving nothing for the digestive system to work with. In other words, dong yoga with food in the digestive system adversely effects digestion. Yoga after eating can also cause nausea, bloating, or aggravate one’s existing digestive problems if they have one such as diverticulitis. Also, yoga brings about changes in one’s physiology and some body functions and its best that the body is free of external elements (such as food), during the process.

Perform Yoga during Sunlight or Sunset Oxygen is an essential part of a yoga routine, and it is present in maximum quantity in the atmosphere during early morning and the evenings. While some say one can do yoga anytime of the day, there is another school of thought that suggests yoga should be avoided after the sun has set. Either way, there’s no doubt that yoga’s more effective when performed during sunlight or sunset.

Do Yoga for at least 45 minutes Now, even a 20 minute yoga session can be very effective for a beginner but we insist you do yoga for at least 45 minutes every day. Yoga is one of the most effective destressors on the planet; the more time you dedicate to a yoga session, the more stress free and vital you will feel. In addition, many yoga poses are extremely simple and anyone can do them, even if they are completely new to yoga. Dedicating that much time to yoga every day, will help you make yoga an integral part of our daily routine and ultimately encourage you to adopt an all out yogic lifestyle.

Don’t Do Yoga When You’re Tired If you ever have pick between skipping yoga or slogging through it, go for the former. Don’t make the mistake of looking at yoga as a burden, rather always take it as the most enjoyable part of the day, and you will keep coming back to it. Moreover, yoga, when performed in a tired state is not very effective and may even be adversely effective.

Take a Hot Shower after Yoga Warm or hot water makes the body more flexible and even opens up the pours, and detoxifies the body. This in turn, will not just make you feel good and make you healthy but will also improve your performance on the mat.

Yoga, when practiced over long periods of time, helps one become well rounded individual. It’s best to do it right, in order to get there faster and for sure.
