Most homeowners who have an outdoor kitchen will most likely have an outdoor Bar-B-Que which becomes the center of their outdoor social gathering especially during summer and other warmer days of the year. Every summer millions of people grill outdoors because they enjoy the setting and also the taste of barbecues food. There are several different models of BBQ grills available to purchase. The different styles use different fuels to cook the food. The basic charcoal barbecue uses briquettes, which can be purchased at any store during the summer. The propane grill uses gas, which needs to be purchased through an authorized dealer. Charcoal barbecues: This is perhaps the classic outdoor Bar-B-Que that is created round in style and which comes with a separate segment that you use when you want to smoke your food. The smoke cover has an adjustable opening that will allow some amount of smoke to escape or be closed when you want all the smoke inside. Wood chips have to be soaked in water or any other liquid before they are added to the base of the BBQ grill so as to enhance the flavor as the meat goes on cooking. The grill comes with features such as tripod base while one side has wheels; these wheels will make it easy to move the unit to the desired place before and after. Gas Cookers: The propane new grills are slowly becoming popular because of the fact that the food that is cooked will not be smelly and neither will you have ashes all over the place that will need to be dumped every after a social event. Gas BBQ grills is available in a variety of shapes designed to be either round or rectangular. They are also available in different sizes including some portable units. The classic outdoor style uses a rectangular design and comes with an attached lid. This lid also allows the adjustment for smoke when the cover is shut. There are deluxe propane BBQ models that have attached boards on the side designed as surfaces for food preparation. Some styles will include shelves underneath the main body and have hooks for placing the various utensils. The base on these items can be designed with or without wheels. Portable barbecues: This type of outdoor Bar-B-Que can be available either as a charcoal burning unit or a gas burning model. They have been so designed to make it possible for people who want to carry their outdoor kitchen away from home such as when they go out on a picnic or vacation. This type of BBQ is available in both the rectangular and round shapes and have small legs designed to collapse for easy storage. All of the outdoor Bar-B-Que Grills include the removable metal grate used to place food on and may need grill repair from time to time depending on care and usage.
