Since the airport sits directly on a border, part of it is in Switzerland and the other is in France. How to Get to the French Sector The French sector is located near Ferney-Voltaire and is easily accessible via road. Although the airport may seem difficult to navigate at first sight, it should be quite simple once your driver points you towards the departure area. Please be aware that this section of the airport is much smaller than the main area, therefore there are limited services available so it is a good idea to bring a book and some food with you!
