What are the features of Kimono?

Fashion & Cosmetics
‘Kimono’ is nothing but clothing which is beautiful garment in Japan. The national dress is prepared in the shape of ‘T’. There are rectangular sleeves which are wrapped around the whole body. There are kimonos worn by men and women as well. Unisex kimonos are made with vertical stripes of cloth. The cloth will be held in its place by a sash which will be fastened around hips. You should understand the fact that the traditional Kimono is different from Yofuku which is western-style of clothing.

Features of Kimono

You can shop here for high-quality Kimono. If you go for a Kimono, a short jacket will be worn on top of it. There will not be any jacket when you choose Yofuku. The short jacket is called haori, and the undergarments are called Juban. There will be little space for the insertion of hands. The word Kimono is derived from ‘kosode’ which means small sleeves. The traditional dress has gone through many changes over the centuries.

The cost of the garment has increased with the involvement of artistic designs. During the 18th century, the kimono and sash were available to feudal nobles only. The contemporary artists safeguard the soul of Japan. New variations are created at the moment. Artists are creating Kimonos from natural fibers and they are embellished with natural dyes.

There are Kimono designs which are prepared with bright colors and Black designs on the back. Such kinds of dresses are considered formal. When you wear a colorful Kimono, the beauty of the dance is very much enhanced. Shiny designs are worn on festive occasions so that it is possible to entertain guests in the best possible way.

Beauty and elegance with Kimono

Kimono delivers great beauty and elegance. However, it should be selected carefully as per the occasion so that there will be great functional enhancement. Kuro Tomesode is a kind of Kimono which comes with Black color base. It is the most common formal attire worn by married women. The garment is worn on auspicious occasions such as weddings. The dye-printed kimono consists of 5 parts. They are back, two chests and two outer sleeves. The hem has great pattern. The pattern should be selected as per the age or characteristic. You can shop here for high-quality garments online.

Iro Tomesode can be used by both married and unmarried women. The garment consists of no patterns on the upper part of the body. The class is specified in the number and style of crusts.

Furisode is the most formal dress worn by unmarried women. There are vivid patterns and long sleeves. There are four different variations in sleeve length. If the sleeve length is long, you will have an elegant look and the attire can be considered for formal occasions.

‘Homon-gi’ is less formal compared to ‘tome-sode’. The attire can be considered for social events, and it can be worn by married as well as unmarried women. You can wear in various occasions such as the wedding, tea parties, and special occasions.
