Facilities and Maintenance managers have a lot on their plate, considering budgets, repairs and daily maintenance routines. However, everything can become much simpler. Trade associations are in place to help maintenance managers, and homeowners in some cases make decisions on which trader to use for their project. Gone are the days of the Yellow Pages and newspaper advertisements, the importance of online publications and recognised trade directories is becoming paramount. Using this guide will enable you to make informed decisions and be confident about the contractor decisions that you will inevitably have to make. Three of the most common contractor accreditation's that large organisations look for include Constructionline, Safecontractor and CHAS. All three provide businesses with confidence for their tasks. Constructionline One of the largest construction accreditations in the UK. Constructionline accreditations are one of the must difficult to get hold of simply because of the qualification guidelines that must be met. To receive a Constructionline accreditation, the trader must apply online and pay for a subscription. The body will then arrange for one of their staff members to interview the company and ensure that they meet the application guidelines. Safecontractor Safecontractor is in place to ensure that consumers are protected against rogue contractors. Members of Safecontractor are carefully selected and approved after an interview is completed. CHAS The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme is designed to ensure that businesses and contractors are protected. Like many accreditation's, the CHAS approval shows firms that the contractor is health and safety savvy. CJ Coatings is a national on site spraying specialist and provide national services that include Gutter Cleaning and On Site Paint Spraying.
