Christmas is a time of the year for creating memories and for all the right reasons. Don't be tempted to drive like an idiot just to get home that little bit earlier, doing so could make Christmas a time to forget for your family. Over the years there have been so many accidents that could have easily been avoided due to careless and/or idiotic driving. Unfortunately, you see it all of the time. I have lost count on how many times I have been sat at a red light and an impatient BMW driver decides to weave in and out of traffic just to get a little closer. The best was when I was in traffic leading up to a roundabout. It was rush hour, and there was a massive queue of cars waiting. I noticed a car in my rear-view mirror that had actually pulled out onto the oncoming traffic and tried to cut back in. Ridiculous! However, despite that stupid move - nobody was injured thank God. These are the most common things that happen when driving at Christmas - the good and bad. Alcohol is always present at Christmas. If you intend on drinking, make sure that you arrange for a sober driver to give you a ride home, or book an alternative solution such as a taxi or even walk if it's within distance. Stick to the speed limits that are set by your government. They are in place for a reason and are made not to be broken. Driving at excessive speeds increases the chances of an accident and could result in serious or even fatal injuries.
