The exterior of your house sets the first impression anyone will make of your home. Beautiful exteriors get noticed by everyone, from your invited guests to neighborhood dog walkers. Exterior painting in Johns Creek is arguably the single most impactful change you can make your home's overall curb appeal. What's hot now in the world of exterior paint? Gray Shades of gray are all the rage in home decor, both inside and out. Gray is a highly flexible color because it is available in so many permutations. You can choose from a wide variety of grays to get the look you want: pastel gray, charcoal gray, blue gray, gray with a hint of green, or even a brownish-gray color like taupe or mushroom. Grays can be warm or cool. Combine any one of these with a contrasting accent color and you have a winning combination for the exterior of your home. Yellow Yellow says happy. Warm, buttery yellow homes consistently sell well and enjoy fabulous curb appeal. Choose your yellow carefully, preferably with the help of a paint expert, to make sure you get the right shade. A yellow house trimmed with traditional white is a winner every time. Pops of Color Bright pops of color paired with neutral colors (think gray again) are on trend. Front doors especially are being treated to luxurious coats of red, black, or turquoise. Shutters are also benefitting from this trend toward color as well. Whatever color you desire, follow these simple rules of thumb to guide your decision: - Try to coordinate your paint color to existing features of the home that will not change. For example, if your roof is a warm color, stick to a warm color palette for the paint. The same holds true for stone or brickwork; your paint color needs to compliment these static features.
- Pay attention to local cues. You don't need to be the same as your neighbors, but you also don't want to stick out in a bad way, either.
- Test before you commit. Paint swatches of the color on different sections of the house in sunshine and shade to see if it is what you want. Exterior painting in Johns Creek is too expensive and too much work to repeat because you don't like the color.
