Computer and laptops use different kinds of hard drives like SATA, IDE, SSD, Flash etc. This is the main part where everything we see on the screen is stored. Other media that store data are USB flash drives and SD cards. In old times, floppy drive, CD or DVD compact disks were used for information storage. USB flash and SD cards are faster and therefore the best invention. Floppy drives and CD drives were slow. Storage capacity was another problem with old media but the new storage devices have no such problem. USB sticks come in small dimensions but with different capacities. They are becoming small and small day by day. Laptops and computer desktops use display or monitor to show information. The modern name of such devices, are LCD screens. Old screens were heavy and would not provide good graphics quality but new technology has better resolution and the sizes of these monitors are growing for example, Apple retina screens have the highest graphics quality in the market right now.
