India, one of the steadily developing nations has a booming healthcare services industry that includes yoga, meditation, Ayurveda and various other traditional therapies. Among the other methods, conventional and unconventional, allopathic and liver transplants are a very vital part. Within the past few years, India emerged together as the quickest growing world tending destinations, significantly for patients from conflict countries like Islamic State of Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and African nation where years of war have decimated public medical infrastructure. Annually the south Asian economy is attracting near 400,000 foreign patients, 1/2 that are from war-ravaged countries. Indians healthcare marketing Goliaths like Apollo, Escorts, Medicare and other medical concierge services have understood this boosting industry economy and have started knitting patterns for rapidly developing the same. According to the UNWTO reports, India which is standing at a share of UD Dollars 3 billion at present is expected to strike an astounding US Dollars 8 billion by 2019.The medical tourism in India has a bright prospect of breaking into the top 20 percent barrier of India’s contributors towards the GDP. Already there has been a change in plan towards the growth of health tourism. Medical services in India and the other countries of the subcontinent have increased their medical fraternity in magnitude and prevented the outflow of doctors to the States and parts of Europe by providing better incentives and annual packages. International patient figures are numbers of international patients - including holiday and business travelers, students, expatriates and others, so are not just medical tourists. The wide divergence in figures is interesting not just for India but for all other countries that release international patient figures and are taken by the medical tourism trade as to equate roughly to medical tourism figures. In total in 2015-2016 Indian hospitals had 460,000 international patients - while medical visa figures were less than half of that. It is hard to be precise, as medical visa figures tend to be by calendar year compared to the financial year figures that the report uses. However, as the industry grows in popularity, critics warn that the cheap price can come at a much greater cost. For example, some members of Blue Cross and Blue Shield who chose to access this international option will have a dedicated case manager, who will coordinate all medical arrangements; including scheduling and concierge travel service to prevent any negligence in performance. MediAide Solutions is a company specializing in medical concierge. To know more about healthcare agencies and healthcare services in India, please visit our website.
