• Outflow heater heats the oil when it flows out from the heater.

Physical properties of furnace oil denote the efficiency of the furnace oil.
• Density: To measure the density;the hydrometer is used. By density, we mean the ratio of the mass of the fuel to the total volume of the fuel. Calculation of density is useful in assessing the ignition quality.
• Specific Gravity: The ratio of weight to the given volume of the oil to the weight of the same volume of water is called specific gravity.
• Viscosity: The internal resistance to flow is called viscosity of a fluid.
• Specific Heat: It is the number of Kilo-Calories required to raise the temperature of 1 kg oil by 1 degrees Celsius.
