They will work well in the fairy garden. For my indoor container gardens, dish gardens, and other small projects, I prefer to use preserved moss. Reindeer moss and other preserved moss varieties can be tucked around miniature plants, glued down around fairy cottages, and placed all around a fairy garden. It adds texture, color, and personality to any garden. If you have any left after decorating your fairy garden, you can use extra preserved moss in craft projects, model train scenes, and DIY projects like homemade wreaths. Reindeer moss comes in a wide variety of colors, from bright green to deep purple. For a romantic take on the miniature garden, you can even find reindeer moss with a rich pink color! The best part? Preserved moss needs no maintenance whatsoever, and it lasts indefinitely. Next time you are planning a terrarium, fairy garden, container garden, or outdoor display, consider incorporating some moss! The earthy tones of green and brown moss will lend a realistic look to any garden, and will help cover up bare soil. Preserved moss can be affixed to fairy cottage roofs, walls, lawns, and steps. You could even create a field of moss or moss-like ground cover, and fill it with miniature toadstools, glass stones, and glitter for a magical fairy field. Or incorporate moss into a delicate wooden bridge, miniature furniture, tiny fountain, or rocky path.
