Today is Independence Day. The day where Americans celebrate the moment the Founding Fathers decided to sever their connection with Great Britain. To go a little deeper: The day the colonies, soon-to-be known as America, becomes its own country without anyone telling them what to do. They think the way they want. They work the way they want. They run things the way they want. They live however they want. That’s independence in its purest form. Unfortunately, that’s not something you see in a lot of people nowadays. When it comes to thinking, a lot of people are only repeating what they see, hear, and read on the Internet and the media. Here’s a perfect example: Earlier this week, I caught up with an old friend who I haven’t seen since the start of the worldwide lockdown. At one point in our conversation, it took a turn into politics. Without going into too much detail, we basically talked about how people only support (or vote for) certain politicians because someone else told them to. Is that independence? I think not. They’re nothing more than parrots, just repeating what they hear. And that actually has to do with why I rabbit-holed into email copywriting. I can simply be myself. I can write how I want. Express myself how I want, and earn money from doing that too. You don’t need to be a good writer either. You just need to get a grasp on the basic principles of email copywriting, which I laid out in my book, How to Become an Email Titan. And you can get the sample chapters of the $20 retail value book here. https://EllisenWang.com/email-titan-sample About the author: Hi, I'm Ellisen and I'm a copywriter.
