I returned from Sweden a month ago, only because my visa had expired…I wanted to stay there much longer. I’m now in depression, having to comply with the lock downs imposed by Laicos County Executive, Alice N. Wonderland. This afternoon after learning that most restrictions have been lifted in Florida, I rewrote the lyrics to The Mama’s and Papa’s song, “California Dreamin’”. I renamed it “Laicos County Schemin” and played it a few times on my guitar.

All the blinds are drawn And my room is grey Been locked in once again On another Covid day I'd be safe and warm If I was in F-L-A Laicos County schemin’ On another Covid day Got out the tax forms I received the other day I got out my wallet Cause’ I had to pay You know the leader likes to tax And orders me to stay Laicos County schemin’ On another Covid day All the blinds are drawn And my room is grey Been locked in once again On another Covid day But for the quarantine I could leave today California schemin’ On another Covid day On another Covid day On another Covid day
