1. Acknowledge the possibility that there are some simple decisions that can be had. There are a lot of complex things out there, and the complexity involved makes the decisions rather daunting at times, but there are also relatively simple paths, simple ways that can be had. Difficulty and complexity abounds, but not in everything and everywhere and often a clear and comfortable path can have relative simplicity. 2. Try to capture some of what is in the present time. One reason things are pushed off to the future is there is so much build up involved in say trying to advance in matters of career, wealth and personal growth. What you want to do is also grab at what you can somewhere on the time lines of these advancements now. If you put everything into the upward line of the advancement, you begin to disallow chances that are there even though you aren’t where you want to be on these other charts. If you are a little below par, in this or that, you don’t want to totally size out of the situation in that then a buildup is involved where I have to be this good and this well versed to participate in this realm to any degree. Then the result is I become more practiced at letting things pass by rather than grabbing at some present day opportunities that are actually there in reality. Part of my decision making should include practicing a grab at the presenting opportunities as they arise. 3. Lessen your assumptions both in degree and kind. There are too many assumptions out there and they act like slog in a way towards crystallizing situations into a decision. Your assumptions are going to be there, and you would just think to yourself, I am assuming this or that. But you need to see what you are assuming, why you are assuming and then how much weight do these assumptions carry for you. You may not want the assumption to carry the whole weight of the decision. There was the title of a movie called Presumed Innocent. Well, you may have presumed a number of things about yourself and your way of doing things that are off base from what would really be accurate. Accurate measures of the situations are presumed upon and presumptions aren’t the only ways towards accuracy. 4. Look for situations that stretch out positively. Examples would be an easy relaxed conversation on a date could lead to more of the same and you can at least figure this could stretch out into a friendship. What can hurt here, is that if for example someone is hanging in there with a difficult and a negative job situation, and grinding through it, this reality becomes part of the imagery of what they are facing, and the imagery forms into looking for decisions involving difficulty and a grind out, where in fact these might not be the best decisions in other importance areas. So, if for example, I’m a trial lawyer, and I’m involved in long and difficult trials, I might begin to look for more of the same in my outside of work decisions where I should still be more so looking for situations that would stretch out positively and easily. Looking at for example the hobby of running, where some nice moments can be had on some long breezy runs where there is a nice mind body connection. While someone doesn’t have to make this hobby an obsession or attach hard pressing goals to it, they can more image that they can find moments like this if they continue in this hobby and that if approached correctly this hobby can stretch out iin time and space positively. 5. Do not put too much emphasis on money. The reason for this is that there is already the need for money, a lot of media generated and internal pressures towards having it and it begins to skew the decision making process and also might delay it. While the reality is, that pursuing a certain course does involve money, it becomes factored in too strongly and work needs to be done to separate that component of the decision out of the process to get a more cleared picture of what the decision involves. Tools for doing this might be to assume you will easily have the money for whatever you want to do, that it will not be an impediment. But the crux of the matter is, that the decision with regards to the money aspect is honed in on too strongly and there indeed are more important components to the decision that are in fact being brushed aside. You really want to see the components that are more important to the decision clearly or as clearly as possible and not cloud them with money, because assuming the money, this is more so what needs to be looked at within the framework of this proposed decision. The relevancy of money to the actual decision is more distant that other factors, such as actual attraction to what you want to do. It would be more important that this is for example an attractive course for you.
