The most common way to remove a wart will be to freeze it off with liquid nitrogen. The procedure is relatively painless but blisters may form later which can be painful and some warts will require more than one treatment for complete removal. Another common treatment for warts is salicylic acid. For difficult wart removals they may try intralesional immune-therapy, bleomycin, or a pulsed dye laser. They may use something called Aldara in the worst cases. Some people will prefer to use a home remedy of using duct tape. Using this method you would cover the wart with duct tape for 6 days, and if it should come lose before then it should be reapplied. After the 6 days are up the wart should be soaked in water, then use a pumice stone or emery board to scrape off the top of the wart. Then the duct tape is reapplied again within 24hrs and the whole process is repeated as long as needed to get rid of the wart. This method could take up to 2 months to completely get rid of the wart.
