I recently read a book full of interesting facts called 50 Things You Are Not Suppose To Know, printed by Russ Kick. I found this book very interesting. I will be going over the contents of the book and my thoughts and insights on these 50 appealing facts. One of my favorite impressive facts is, "Certain parties don't want you to know certain facts. That's a fact." 1. The Ten Commandments We Always See Aren't the Ten Commandments This one is going to evoke plenty of opinions and maybe even some angry birds. I don't really have much to say on this. According to the book, these are not really referred to as commandments when God was talking to Moses in Exodus 31:18. It basically says that the ten commandments everybody is used to seeing, are not the same as the ones in the bible. I suggest you do your own analysis on not only this piece, but of the rest of the bestseller as well. You'll be surprised on what you find while researching for these interesting facts. 2. One of the Popes Wrote an Erotic Book Pope Pius II, real name Aeneas Sylvius Piccolomini, was an author before being a pope. He wrote a bestseller, Historia de Duobus Amantibus. I don't know a lot about Catholics, but after asking a few of them about this subject, none of them knew about this. I'm guessing it isn't talked about much, or they just like to keep it a secret. 3. The CIA Commits Over 100,000 Serious Crimes Each Year This breaks down to 200+ crimes per day! It is obvious that our government conceals a lot from citizens. After reading this, I wasn't as shocked as some of you are going to be. There is a lot of facts on the internet on this topic. It's a delirious world out there. "Not everything is at it seems" -Unknown. 4. The 1st CIA Agent to Die in the Line of Duty was Douglas Mackiernan I don't know much about Mackiernan, but evidently the agency neither denies nor confirms his being. He was sent on a top-secret duty to the Cold War in 1949 with his companion Frank Bessac. Mackiernan was murdered at the border of Tibet after a year-long crusade across inner Asia. His companion however, survived and continued through with the job, meeting with Dalai Lama in Lhasa. There is a book on this as well full of very appealing facts and info behind the unacknowledged confidential duty, Into Tibet: The CIA's First Atomic Spy and His Secret Expedition to Lhasa, written by Thomas Laird. 5. After 9/11, the Defense Dept. Wanted to Poison Afghanistan's Food Supply They weren't able to do this because they weren't allowed to, according to the treaties that the US had signed, including the 1972 Biological Weapons Convention. You can read it in more detail in the Washington Post in a report called Combating Terrorism: 'It Starts Today'. These interesting facts are far more than appealing, some will leave you wordless, some will make you think twice about the corresponding topic, and others might just be what you need to hear for whatever reason. For complete details and all the material, pick up 50 Things You Are Not Suppose To Know. It is full of interesting facts like the ones we went over here today. To be continued. . . . These interesting facts are a part of a much broader and detailed book as noted above. To check out the complete 50 things be sure to check out this video that has the complete list of things you shouldn't know noted in the book.
