As a kid most everyone has seen the Disney Classic, The Lion King. Even still, kids today have the chance to experience the magic of Simba, Timon, Pumbaa & Nala with recently released DVDs of The Lion King in 3D. Now we can finally bring our furry friends home to enjoy at anytime. Don’t worry if you do not yet have a 3D compatible TV because the there are also recently released blu-ray DVDs of The Lion King that can be purchased. If you have not yet seen The Lion King now is your chance. It is a beautiful story that outlines the importance of not only friendship, but family. A rowdy lion cub is born to the King of his pride. As the son of the king, Simba will soon rule the pride himself, but Scar, his evil uncle, wants to rule the pride himself. Through trickery, Scar kills Mufasa, the king of the pride, and attempts to kill Simba as well. Simba is able to escape the traps of the hyenas and runs as far as he can into the desert where he collapses from dehydration. Timon and Pumbaa discover the young cub and make him part of their family as Simba never wants to return home after the death of his father. Nala, a childhood friend of Simba, finds him in the jungles of Africa while she out hunting for food. Nala pleads with Simba to return to the pride with stories about how horrible Scar has made it. Without Simba, all of the animals will die from starvation. After much thinking and a spiritual appearance of his late father, Simba regains his courage to return to the pride and regain what is his. He learns that after years of thinking that the death of his father was due to him, it was actually Scar that intentionally let Mufasa fall to his death. Simba battles Scar to regain control of the pride and regains his position as king of the pride. This small synopsis does not do The Lion King justice and until you see it for yourself you will not release the impact that it does have. It is funny yet heart touching and everything in between. Take the opportunity to check out the recently released DVDs of the Lion King. It is great for family movie night with the kids, a sleepover with friends, or even date night with that special someone.
