It seems strange, but there's a reason that acupuncture has been practiced for more than 3,000 years: acupuncture works! The ancient Chinese practice originated out of the belief that diseases were caused by a disruption of the flow of a mystical energy known as "Chi" or "Qi". By precisely inserting metal pins into different locations in the skin, t was believed, imbalances in the Chi flow could be corrected, and diseases could be healed. Modern science has since rejected the existence of Chi, and therefore quashed the idea that adjusting one's Chi can heal the body. However, despite these claims, Denver acupuncture has proven itself able to provide a number of amazing medical benefits that no scientist ever saw coming. Studies have found that acupuncture can successfully relieve many different types of pain in a number of cases. It has been found that acupuncture stimulates the production of opioids in the body, chemicals long known for its ability to lessen pain in a wide variety of cases, including the chronic pain caused by terminal cancer and the pain caused by degenerative conditions such as Rheumatoid Arthritis. One particularly effective use for acupuncture is in the treatment of migraines and neck pain, as it has been found to have been more effective than prophylactic drugs, in addition to causing fewer adverse side effects. Denver Acupuncture has also been found to be effective in the treatment of both chronic and acute lower back pain, along with being able to relieve the pain caused by osteoarthritis of the knee. Studies have also concluded that the traditional methods of treating nausea through acupuncture are as effective as modern medicine. Patients who had undergone operations often experienced nausea do to the anesthesia, and acupuncture has been found to be at least as effective at combating the nausea as drugs, if note moreso. Denver Acupuncture has also been found to be useful for chemotherapy patients. Chemotherapy treatment often causes patients to vomit, making them unable to keep down the food and nutrients required to keep up strength. Acupuncture has been shown to reduce the number of times a patient vomited on the day they receive treatment. There can be no mistake that there is validity to the claims made by acupuncture's practitioners over the years: it truly does yield remarkable results! For a procedure based on a theory rejected by scientists, acupuncture has shown a surprising amount of effectiveness -- scientifically-demonstrated effectiveness, no less! Denver Acupuncture has even demonstrated a propensity to increase live birth rate among in vitro fertilization patients! So although there is a tendency to dismiss acupuncture as superstition, it is more than clear that the practice did not survive three millennia on the basis of superstition alone. Practitioners still exist today because their practices work, and patients can tell that acupuncture has improved their lives in many ways. The scientific community that initially rejected acupuncture outright has started to embrace it after seeing for themselves what sort surprising results the treatment can bring.
