Hose is one of the critical components for any water work design. Depending on its application the type and material of the hose is selected. The hoses should have special lining to satisfy the special needs of the pharmaceutical industry. The toughness, flexibility, high pressure resistance and the full vacuum resistance are some of the properties that are important for a pharmaceutical hose. Further the hose should be compatible with chemicals. Materials like PTFE are generally considered because of their resistance to chemicals. PTFE hoses are non contaminating and non reactive to the various types of fluids. The hoses should be easy to clean and the lining should be Non sticky.
