If you want to invite more customers into your retail store, visual merchandising is the solution. Visual appeal of products has its own importance in gaining customers, and hence businesses take utmost care in coming up with creative visual window displays of their products. A well organized, uncluttered products’ display is sure to grab immediate attention of window shoppers and turn a majority of them into potential customers.

Be Creative in Your Approach

It is not so easy to create distinct and unique visual displays. Retail designers can bring some artistic feel to the display. If you add your input during the design phase, the display can render fantastic visual appeal along with great information on the brand. Customers take no more than a few seconds to decide whether to enter the store or to leave. Hence the display must be capable of drawing immediate attention. Keep the display simple, yet invoking. Avoid using too many sign boards as doing so would confuse the customer.

Make Wise Use of Spaces

A good way to promote new products is to display them at the Point of Sale, where the billing generally happens. Small items such as pens, key chains, lip balms etc. can be displayed here. If you are using mannequins for displaying apparels and accessories, keep changing them. Being dynamic in your approach will let you display more products and can help you gain more customers. If necessary, display the retail mannequinsopenly. For example, displaying a toy inside a closed glass cabin may attract a child, but the one that is kept open for the kid to touch or play with gains more attention. However, such options depend on the type of product you are selling. Breakable items must always be sold inside closed boxes.

Grabbing Customer’s Attention

The success lies in categorizing the products and stacking them appropriately. You should know what you are going to choose for your window merchandising. Not all products available can be displayed. Present the ones that are of high demand in the market. Disorganized displays tend to keep customers away from your store. Such important is visual displays in boosting your sales and increasing the sales margin. Even with the perfect visual displays, if the store is messy, you will find customers soon walking out with contempt. Create a welcoming and uncluttered atmosphere, along with perfect lighting, music and colors. A store that is too bright or that plays too loud a music can be a big turn off to customers. Similar is the case with stores with bad odor. Use room fresheners with seasonal fragrances such as Lavender and Vanilla to create a calming effect on the customers.
