Chemical materials have great importance in our day to day life. Titanium is also a chemical substance which is denoted as Ti whose atomic number is 22. Ti is a material with qualities like its non-toxic, lustrous, resistant to corrosion, transient material and silver in color. Titanium has evolved as a helpful material in making airspace body parts like engines, spacecrafts, and missiles. Titanium has found uses in making military weapons and ammunitions. Ti is paramagnetic and it has very low conductivity of electricity and heat. Its tensile strength is appreciable and can be measured as 63, 0000 psi which is comparable to other prevalent alloys but the point which makes difference is its light weight about 45 percent less than others. Comparing it with famous Aluminum, Ti is denser than Al but very almost twice stronger than Al. The lagging point is, Ti losses its strength above430 degree Celsius. Titanium Sheet is the best example to show the tensile strength of titanium, these sheets are made from the various available alloys of titanium. Titanium of various grades are used for making alloys and hence getting Titanium Sheet, Titanium plates and Titanium bars manufactured. These alloys are very appreciable in their specifications like soft to cut, great ductile capability, toughness, resistant to all oxidizing medium and weld ability. Titanium Bar are basically used in the areas of Architecture, Power generation, hydro- carbon processes, marine industry, exhaust pipe , airframe skin, processing used in chemical industry, manufacturing processes in chlorate and medical industry. Ti used is grade 2 version of Titanium. These bars are manufactured from grade 2 Ti because of weld ability, ductile and formability. Titanium plate is manufactured from Titanium grade1, and is founded to be used in areas like Chemical processing, chlorate processing, architecture, marine industry, airframe structure, manufacturing of auto motive parts, desalination and in dimensioning of stable anodes. Ease of formability is the only desirable feature of titanium which is expected to be used in making these plates and tubes. Titanium is a very beautiful composition which has helped various mechanical, chemical, electrical as well as aeronautics industry either in its original form or by being alloyed with other substances. Titanium is available in various grades like, when it is in original form, these are grade1, grade2, grade3, grade4 and when alloyed we have grade7, grade11, Ti 6Al-4V (grade5), Ti 6Al-4V ELI (grade23), grade 12, Ti 5Al-2.5Sn. Ti and its alloy have also been used wonderfully in the areas of medical and metallurgy also. Methods used to draw sheets, bars and plates from Ti are Drop hammer method, hydro press forming, press bake forming and stretch form method. Titanium has extraordinarily used as storage for nuclear wastes. Ti is extremely resistant to corrosion and hence it was researched that Ti can be used for long duration storage. Usage of every chemical compound is supposed to be done under its hazardous limits. Titanium leads to fire when its freshly manufactured and accidently comes in contact of liquid oxygen.
