Heading into this weekend's finals, Chinese gymnasts sit atop the leaderboard in 4 from the ten disciplines. First-year senior Yao Jinnan had a thriving international debut, posting the highest qualifying score on uneven bars (Shaposhnikova to quick Pak salto, piked Jaeger, double layout). Yao also certified second on floor, behind teammate Tan Sixin (who's also producing her senior international debut at Cottbus) and fourth on beam. On vault, Germany's Oksana Chusovitina recorded her country's only very first place qualifying score, ahead of Switzerland's Giulia Steingruber, who threw a handspring front 1.five layout (the exact same vault at present shown by her countrywoman Ariella Kaeslin, which includes a 6.three D-score). 2009 European vault champion Ekaterina Kurbatova placed third in qualifying. Greek veteran Vasiliki Millousi, 26, topped the standings on beam, exactly where she showed elegant perform along with a double pike dismount. Israel's Valeriia Maksiuta completed second. The Netherlands's Celine van Gerner also had a prosperous meet, qualifying in second place for the bar final, ahead of Germany's Elisabeth Seitz, and third on beam. Newcomer Nadine Jarosch of Germany completed third on floor. Notable within the quick hits supplied by the competition's site was the efficiency of 15-year-old Mariya Livchikova of Ukraine. While Livchikova recorded errors on both beam and floor and didn't make either final, her function left a deep impression on these whoever wrote the testimonials. 3 veterans and three newcomers dominated the men's qualification. On floor, 2009 World bronze medalist Alexander Shatilov of Israel led the way, followed by France's Gael da Silva and World Cup standard Jeffrey Wammes in the Netherlands. Former Planet parallel bars champion Mitja Petkovsek of Slovenia beat 2009 World parallel bars champion Wang Guanyin of China for initially place heading in to the final round, even though 2009 Globe pommel champion Zhang Hongtao was when once again the top on his specialty, greater than a point ahead of second-place qualifier Saso Bertoncelj of Slovenia. Japan's Ryotaka Deguchi qualified third for the final. Increasing British star Sam Oldham was initially on higher bar, the event he won at last summer's Youth Olympic Games. 2005 Globe rings champion Yuri van Gelder showed excellent strength parts but dismounted using a rather straightforward double layout to finish fourth. Eastern Europeans dominated on vault, with Ukrainian Oleksandr Yakubovs'kyi recording the prime score going into finals, followed by upcoming Russian Denis Ablyazin and Poland's Marek Lyszczarz. France's Yann Cucherat, who missed last October's World Championships though recovering from injury and awaiting the birth of his second child, has had a successful meet so far. The "elder statesman" of French gymnastics, 31, finished third on parallel bars and higher bar. Five to appear out for in finals: World floor champion Eleftherios Kosmidis of Greece attempted some new combinations on his marquee event, but stepped out of bounds in qualifying and completed sixth in the finish on the day. If he hits his routine in finals, however, he should really challenge for the floor title. Van Gelder, in spite of the drama surrounding his personal life and his status on the Dutch team, continues to be an incredibly competant man on rings. He proved it by winning the title at final year's Ghent Planet Cup, and could do exactly the same here. 2010 European men's vault champion Tomi Tuuha of Finland may also be in the vault final. Although not by far the most higher profile competitor, Tuuha's clean form and penchant for landing on his feet and not moving a great deal need to stand him in fantastic stead in finals. Germany's Philipp Boy, who hails from Cottbus, had some minor problems in instruction hindered his preparation for this meet, as noted within the rapid hits. But Boy has certified for finals on higher bar and pommel horse, and could be the first reserve on parallel bars. Some Planet Cup hardware, especially at a meet in his personal country, would set Boy up well for the European Championships, where he must be the leader of the German team. Boy's teammate Marcel Nguyen, yet another gymnast who has lived for awhile in Fabian Hambuechen's shadow, is back immediately after breaking his leg at a pre-Worlds tri-meet in September. Nguyen didn't compete on floor, his best event, in qualifications, but did make the finals on parallel bars, where he has been identified to dismount using a full-twisting double back. The dismount he made use of throughout this final, however, was a rather standard double pike.If you like celine please Visit our celine outlet! Happy shopping!
