Psalm 89:15, Blessed is the people that shall know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance. There is a new sound in music coming. It is a harvest sound, a heavenly sound, a sound to work by in the kingdom of God, a sound that the earth has never heard before. Those who here it will know it and say, "This is it". This sound cannot be passed from man to man, but from God to man. It cannot be duplicated because it will come from the gift and anointing within. This is His vintage sound raining down on the just and unjust. The word vintage means harvest of grapes, excellence, maturity, and enduring appeal. This sound will come through those who consecrate themselves unto the Lord of the Harvest and pay the price unto perfection that it may flow out of them like a river in the streets. This sound shall not be put under a bushel basket, but it shall flow to a lost and desolate world that they may rejoice in the kingdom of God. It makes no difference which gift of music you have been given by God, these gifts are coming together in jamming sessions in churches, in the streets, in cities all over the earth. Rehearsing will not produce these jams, but perfected gifts will come together and flow from the throne of God through the Holy Spirit. These sounds will be perfected sounds of simplicity, for there is simplicity in Christ. When people here it they will say, "How simple is that, yet so perfect". "Glory to God". Being a drummer, I listen to other drummers. I am reminded of one who played with Santana in a recording session, who said towards the end of the session it was as if someone walked into the room and things went to a level that none of the musicians had ever achieved before, they were all playing sounds they had never heard or practiced. Not knowing what or who it was in the room with them they said it must have been, and then named a dead rocker. To those who know God, it is not hard to understand what happened and who was in the room with them that day. The giver of all good gifts walked in the room. Music is a gift from God, what men choose to do with it is up to them. This is a good example of what I am talking about when I say blessed are those who know the joyful sound, the harvest sound is coming and is already here. Look on the fields, they are white and ready to harvest. God gives gifts for Him to enjoy and receive honor from and for the ones who receive the gifts to enjoy. These gifts are without repentance, or in other words, will not be taken back. They are eternal. When people understand this, things go deeper with God and there is communication or communing through the gifts. When I first understood this, my gift of drumming, quickly went to a higher level. The more we commune with God though our gifts they go higher and higher. If the gift is quenched the communication is interrupted and there is a grieving in both God and man. The scriptures tell us not to grieve the Holy Spirit. Keep the gift flowing. Invite the Holy Spirit in to your practice sessions and have a blast jamming with God. This is not to say not to learn from men, but take what is learned in before God and let it be perfected in a style just for you. Concerning our gifts, we are told in the scriptures to be ready and willing to communicate the gift. Study to perfect your gift and if God chooses to use it publicly He will open the doors, and if not, it does not change the reason you were given the gift in the first place, which is for you and God to enjoy together.
