It is blessed with the power of Christ and the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit have the power to ward off evil and dark spirits. Some people just think it is regular water, but sometimes you just gotta believe. Roman Catholic Answer Holy Water is a sacramental and is an excellent practice to use it often.
